ADMITTING she was ``scared'', socialite Paris Hilton traded her designer clothes for jail garb tonight as she began serving a 23-day jail term for violating her probation.

The 26-year-old hotels heiress surrendered to police in Los Angeles late tonight, after taking a last walk on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards near Hollywood, where she was the butt of comedians' jokes.
